Government Medical College Kozhikode accepts NEET UG scores for admission to MBBS. 10th and 12th scores are not considered for admission to the college. However, candidate must fulfil the eligibility critera of appearing in the NEET exam. To appear in the NEET exam, minimum of 50% in 10+2 is a must, for the General category candidates. Candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC should have a minimum score of 40 per cent in the qualifying examination. Hi.The admission to the students in BSc Optometry course is granted based on the candidates’ performance in the entrance exam and according to the marks obtained in 10+2 level. Some of the universities also grant admission based on merit.
The top well-known university, state and national level BSc Optometry entrance exam are AIIMS Entrance exam, CMC Entrance exam and NEET.

Government Medical College, Kozhikode, also known as Calicut Medical College, is considered a premier medical college in India. It is the most preferred medical college in Kerala during both All India and state counsellings for MBBS admission. The college has a high faculty-student ratio, and about 95% of students have been placed in the same college for house surgery, which is a strong indicator of the college's quality. Additionally, the college is ranked 78 out of 100 colleges in India by the IIRF. Therefore, based on the reviews, placements, and rankings, Government Medical College, Kozhikode can be considered a good college.
