Dietetics is the Science and art of feeding individuals based on the principles of nutrition. It can also be said to be the Science and art of human nutritional care. Diet therapy and its application in patient related settings is a major focus of dietetics. Thus, the field of dietetics can be related to: (a) nutrition care and intervention focused on the individual and (b) nutrition care and intervention focused on the group.
They can work with government hospitals, governments health department, schools, colleges, factories and office cafeterias for planning nutritional regiment.They can also work for sports hostels and athletes camps. Health and recreation clubs, canteen and nursing care facilities also require the services of nutritionists and dietitians. Employment opportunities are also open to them in catering department of star hotels and restaurants.Moreover they could find openings in the mass media where top priority is given to disseminating vital information on healthy living.
At entry level salary varies from 10,000 to 25,000 rupees /month as per the abilities and experience.
For top position salary varies from rupees 25,000 to 90,000 per month depending on qualifications, position held, experience and location.

I would suggest you to opt for food Science, some of the chief reasons behind this option are as follows:
1. Job security: The food industry is one of the largest on the planet, and people will always have to eat. This means if you are working anywhere along the food supply chain, you will always have a job. Although there are food companies that close or have layoffs, chances are you can apply your skills to other foods or processes, which I think is a huge benefit of this degree.

There is something for everyone, whether it be in quality, R&D, sales, marketing, manufacturing, teaching or in government. There is a certain attitude we all share and I think it stems from our drive to help people. After all, food is a service industry and we take pride in what we do.

5. The food: If you love food you will definitely enjoy working in this industry. Whether you are creating exciting new products, testing products for quality, or doing research, you will be exposed to a plethora of amazing food. You will discover dishes and flavor combinations you have never even knew existed (and may even like it).
6. Travel opportunities: The food industry is global, and many large companies in the United States also conduct business in several other countries. Depending on your position, its likely you will get to travel often paid for by your company or agency.

50% seats for Christian Minority = 10 seats
20% seats for SC/ST/NT/OBC classes = 4 seats (Caste certificate to be attached to the application form)
30% seats for Open Category = 6 seats
Entrance examination/ Admission Procedure
i) Review of past academic performance [Minimum 60 per cent at T.Y.B.Sc. level for open Category]
(If your results are given as grades please ensure that the conversion of grades to percentages is mentioned in your form.)
ii) Performance at Common Entrance Exam (Written) (Rs.200/- to be paid for Entrance Test.)
