The minimum eligibility criteria to pursue PhD at MGKVP is that students must have completed their UG and PG degrees with a minimum aggregate of 55%. Those who have done an MPhil degree with 55% aggregate are, however, also eligible for admission to this course. Final admission to PhD is subject to the Research Entrance Test (RET) conducted by the MGKVP. However, students who have More details on the eligibility conditions of appearing for UGC NET, JRF, GATE and NET exams and have a valid core in the same are exempted from RET.

The RET exam paper is divided into two sections/papers. The details are as follows:
- The first section/paper will include questions around General Awareness, Aptitude, Academic and related issues. There will be a total of 10 questions. All the questions will be of one mark and the students will get a total of two hours to finish this exam.
- The second section/ paper will be inclusive is research aptitude-based questions. There will be a total of 200 questions of one mark each.

As per the data collated from various sources on the internet, the minimum eligibility criteria for admission in BA is that the students must have qualified in Class 12. A few sources on the internet also mention that students must have scored at least 50% aggregate to be eligible. To know the exact and specialisation-wise eligibility criteria for BA, students are advised to visit the admission office or the official website for details. To achieve a BA (Honors) degree, you need to accumulate a total of 160 credits over a period of four years. Of these, 80 credits will be allocated to your specific subject specialisation (major), and the remaining 80 credits will comprise a set of common inter-disciplinary electives that enhance your knowledge across various domains
