This year, Lady Brabourne College has increased the eligibility criteria in English (Hons) from 85% last year to 92%. The aggregate cut-off in board exams has also been increased from 75% last year to 85% this year. The college has also raised the eligibility criteria for other subjects, like history and economics.

Fergusson College maintained the first position and set the highest cut-offs in Arts and Science streams. Arts (English medium) closed at 97 per cent and remained at 84.8 per cent (Marathi medium). For Science, this year's cut-off stood at 96.40 per cent.

For BA English the candidates must have obtained 80 percent marks in Arts OR 85 percent marks in Science/Commerce and 75 percent marks in English. The cut-off is the aggregate of the percentage scored in the last exam plus the marks obtained in the entrance test. The first cut off varies from 170 to 180 or more.
