Hi,
Hons Programmes are more rigorous nature programmes. They have a better bearing when it comes for jobs. I can tell you of LU as in the Hons programmes it offers one additional course of at least 2 credits per term as compared to regular programs. A mix of innovative and creative courses would be offered to increase the knowledge and hone the technical skills of the hons. Students. Practical/ workshops, technical and entrepreneurial projects as well as courses with exposure to cutting edge technologies would be offered. First preference would be given to Hons. I don't really know about other colleges but there is PCTE Group of Institutes in Ludhiana which is offering B.A. In Journalism and the college is really good. I in fact have studied from there and would assure you that you would learn a lot of things when you get enrolled in the course be it in print or electronic media. PCTE, however is ranked the 2nd &10th in the country (Iims included) on the Return on Investment parameter by OUTLOOK Magazine.
