The admission to BA courses at CDLU is based on the scores of CUET UG. Only a candidate who meets the required eligibility criteria and has a valid CUET UG score can apply for BA admission at CDLU. Based on the scores in CUET UG, the university prepares and releases a merit list containing the names of shortlisted candidates. Hence, one can not get a direct admission at CDLU for BA.

Andhra University, Vishakhapatnam reserves seats for the candidates belonging to EWS/SC/ST candidates. Additionally, it also has seats reserved for female students and non-locals. At the Andhra University, the seat bifurcation is as follows:
- For SC/ST candidates: 15% for SC and 5% for ST categories
- For female students: The female students constitute more than 50% of many departments
- For non-local students: The University reserves 15% of seats in every course for non-local candidates
