For admission to MCom course, candidates need to qualify Common Post Graduate Entrance Test also known as OUCET conducted by Osmania University. CPGET is conducted annually to provide admission to students in postgraduate courses in Telangana state government universities. The CPGET is held across multiple cities. The entrance tests in all the subjects will be of 90 minutes duration. For all entrance tests, the question paper consists of 100 objective (multiple choice only) type questions for 100 marks.

Indian Institute of Management and Commerce, known as IIMC Hyderabad is affiliated to Osmania University. The institute offers both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in full-time mode. IIMC Hyderabad admission to UG courses is purely merit-based as per the rules of Govt. of Telangana. However, for PG course, admission is entrance-based.

The minimum eligibilty criteria for the MTech programme includes bachelor’s degree in relevant stream from a recognised university with minimum 50 % aggregate (45 per cent aggregate for SC/ ST candidates) at Guru Nanak Institutions Hyderabad. The MTech selection process includes a valid score in GATE/ TS PGECET exams followed by a Personal Interview.
