Required cut off for IFMR in CMAT is around 90 percentile. In CAT cut off is 80 percentile.

Both the colleges have their own especially. If you are from technical background and want to shape your career in a managerial role then SITM is your best bet. It has 100% placement since inception and both the batch size as well as the fee structure is on a lower side.
IFMR is famous for finance. So, if you are from non-technical background then go for IFMR.
The benefit of SITM is that it provides dual specialization with finance included in all its specializations.
Moreover, Pune is more easy to get acclimatize to than Chennai.

Yes, a gap of 1 year after graduation is considered. You can apply in IFMR through CAT, XAT, CMAT, GMAT, GRE scores.
Score around 85-90 percentile is good enough to get admission in IFMR.

IFMR has a track record of 100% placement since its establishment. Current placement scenario at IFMR, average is 9 lac and highest is 18 lac.
Some of the Companies which came for placements:
HSBC, HDFC, Accenture, Infosys, J.P Morgan, Royal Bank of Scotland, Deloitte,Cognizant, Capgemini, Credit Suisse etc
The 40 acre campus is located 70 kilometres north of Chennai in SriCity which is a Special Economic Zone. We are surrounded by companies like Mondelez International, Kellogs, PepsiCo, Alstom, Isuzu to name a few.

Yes for sure, marketing as a major in which you will have subjects related to international business. Also, you can select minor as a finance, operations or HR as per your wish.

Yes, TCS recruited this year from IFMR but we can't disclose the offer made by them. You will know about the offer and role when you join the college by placement cell of the college. Other IT companies recruited from the college were Accenture, Capgemini, I-Nautix, Cognizant, Infosys, etc.

Your profile is decent, but you need to clear the cutoff of the entrance exams like for CAT-80%, XAT-80%, CMAT-91% (according to this session and for next it may change). All the best.

For 2015-17 batch, the lowest is around Rs 6 LPA with an average around Rs 9 LPA and highest is Rs 18 LPA. This information is for the whole batch. Generally, it is observed that students with work experience of 2-3 years get more than a fresher.
