No. This is not required. A percentile above 99.30 percentile gives you a high chance of getting a call from IIM A, B, C.
You can check the profile of the current and previous batches that studied at IIMA to know about their education and work experience background.
Thanks.

If you want to have a career in Agri related sectors, then specialisation in Agri-business managements helps.
You can opt for a general MBA programme if you are okay to pursue a career in other sectors and fields of specialisation.
MBA from a very good college always gives you an upper hand. I would suggest you to score well in CAT and then apply for MBA programme.
Thanks.

For getting into IIM A,B,C , a percentile above 99 should be competitive enough.
However, for new IIMs this figure reduces to 97-99.
Thanks

See it depends on your education background as well.
But above 99 percentile will be a competitive one.
Thank you

It 's hard to answer which is better as you did not mention which college are you comparing with. Once you get into IIMA, you need not worry about placements. Banks would be waiting for you to give the loan, I still remember my first day in college when many bank managers and their staff approached my parents and me, asking us to take the loan from their bank with minimal procedure and documentation.

The percentile varies from year to year as the selection criteria vary. IIMs look for overall performance and potential of a candidate apart from academics and percentile, there is a significant shift in the selection process from academic-centric to overall performance and capabilities of the students. Having said that, it is always good to have a high percentile to strengthen your chances.
All the best.
