Yes, students can get into IIM Ahmedabad without appearing for CAT. However, this is applicable for courses other than flagship PGP/ MBA programme. Students seeking to join programmes, such as the BPGP or executive programmes. For those courses, students need valid scores of other accepted exams.

To get into IIM Ahmedabad, students have to check the eligibility first. Eligible students can then apply online. The institute accepts students on an entrance basis for all the courses. Students must get an exceptional score in CAT/ other accepted exams depending on the programme. As IIM-A is the top management institute of the country, the cutoffs are equally high.

Entrance exam is followed by other selection rounds including GD-PI & AWT. Selected students have to pay the admission fees and report at the institute to complete the process.

IIM Ahmedabad admission 2026 to the MBA course is offered through CAT 2025 scores followed by the Analytical Writing Test (AWT) & Personal Interview (PI). The Institute does not release the final CAT cutoff publicly and is only accessible through account login to those candidates who appear in the CAT exam. However, it is estimated that the final CAT cutoff percentiles usually range around 98-100 percentiles for top IIMs, including IIM Ahmedabad. Hi.

IIM Ahmedabad (IIMA) does not offer a dedicated Master's in Hotel Management like some hospitality institutes or Institutes of Hotel Management do. However, it does offer master's‑level management programs that are relevant if you're interested in management roles in hospitality or related sectors.

The closest regular master's‑level full‑time programs at IIMA that could be relevant for someone wanting strategic, managerial, or business leadership roles (for example in hospitality chains, tourism firms, service operations, etc.) are:

1. MBA – Post Graduate Programme (PGP)

  • This is IIM Ahmedabad's flagship master'

For admission to the MBA programme at IIM Ahmedabad, the required CAT score varies by category. Based on the previous year's cutoff (2024), candidates need an overall percentile rank of 80 for General and EWS categories, 75 for NC-OBC and transgender candidates, and 70 for SC category candidates. Individual section percentiles in VARC, DILR, and QA are slightly lower but the overall percentile is key for selection.
