Yes, IIM, Amritsar provides the abroad placement. IIM, Amritsar achieves yet another milestone as the final placements for the second batch (Year-2018) concludes on a high note. 100% placement was achieved well ahead of graduation of the batch despite the current batch growing double in size, that is, 104 compared to the previous batch size of just 44. The highlight of this year's placement was a huge increase in the highest package, leapfrogging three times from the previous year to 54 LPA. The minimum percentile is dependent on the category one belongs to. The first shortlisting is done roughly on the basis of category for all the students. The academic diversity helps one while calculating the composite score at the end of second round. The composite score is calculated for everyone with extra points for non engineering students. For IIM Lucknow, 5 point weight is given for non engineers this year and for Amritsar, Kashipur and Sirmaur, it is somewhat similar. First of all, getting an IIM call depends on a lot of factors other than CAT percentile like number of applicants, seats available etc. Officially IIM Amritsar requires 90 percentile and IIM Sirmaur and Kashipur both requires 95 percentile for a general category student to get a call for GD PI. But in cases with a good academic profile with achievements and/or work experience or academic diversity or an impressive resume, people have gotten calls with 92+ percentile in baby Iims like Sirmaur and Amritsar.
