Choosing between Aston Business School and IIM Calcutta for an MBA depends on your career goals. IIM Calcutta is a premier Indian institute with global recognition, a strong alumni network, and excellent placement opportunities, especially in finance, consulting, and management roles. However, Aston Business School provides a more international flavor as well, emphasizing global business practices and an outlook into the UK job market-the major market being in Europe, though. If your focus remains to be in international businesses, then Aston will prove out to be a better one; whereas for an Indian market orientation with proper focus,

IIM Calcutta is one of the top IIMs of India with a rank of 5 under the 'Management' category by NIRF. Getting admission to IIMC is competitive due to limited number of seats. The requirement for getting admission in its flagship programme i.e. MBA is qualifying CAT and fulfiling the eligibility requirements. The minimum aggregate required in graduation is 50%. Hence, aspirants scoring less than it will find it difficult even if they pass CAT. Aspirants have to pass every selection round for admission to MBA. Selected candidates have to further come for personal interview round.

Yes, candidate can get into IIM Calcutta at 70% in Class 12. But mere 12th marks are not sufficient for MBA admission. Therefore, candidate must attain a really good score in CAT exam. IIM Calcutta CAT Cutoff 2024 has not yet been released. Looking at the Cutoff ranks for the past 3 years, the CAT Cutoff percentile is expected to be 99, for the General AI category candidates.
