Aspirants can join the IIM Ranchi IPM course after class 12. It is full time 5-year integrated course comprising Undergraduate and postgraduate management programmes (BBA-MBA). At the completion of IPM students will be awarded an MBA degree. 

  • For admission at IIM Ranchi in IPM, candidates are required to appear for the IPMAT examination followed by PI round which will be conducted virtually by IIM Ranchi.

The interview process of IIM Ranchi is held under CAP (common admission process). The candidates who qualify for CAT are further invited to the personal interview round. The PI is conducted virtually and exact dates and information for the same is communicated to the shortlisted candidates in due course. The personal interview round is conducted to assess the candidate's leadership skills, subject knowledge, problem-solving skills and communication abilities.

The IIM Ranchi MBA Cutoff 2023 was 92 percentile for the General Category, with sectional cutoffs of 70 percentile each.

Sure, a candidate can get admission to IIM Ranchi without CAT as long as he or she doesn't want to pursue MBA. IIM Ranchi course admissions are entrance-based. For admission to the MBA course the college accepts only CAT score, but for other courses the institute accepts GMAT/ GRE/ IPMAT etc.

Only for admission to the Executive MBA course, the aspirants are required to appear just for the personal interview round.

Candidates are required to take the Common Admission Test (CAT) to gain admission to the flagship programme, MBA in General Management, at IIM Ranchi. The CAT also serves as the entrance exam for the MBA-HR and MBA in Business Analytics programmes offered by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ranchi.
