Direct admission to IIM Ranchi is not possible as the institute strictly follows the Common Admission Test (CAT) for its admission process. Candidates must take the CAT exam, conducted annually, and achieve a competitive score to qualify for the subsequent stages, including the Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview (PI). Admission criteria also consider academic performance, work experience, and diversity factors. The application fee for the CAT exam is INR 2,400 for general category candidates and INR 1,200 for SC/ST/PWD candidates. IIM Ranchi MBA admission is done through CAT  followed by other rounds of selection. To secure admission at IIM Ranchi MBA, candidates need to prepare for CAT 2024. The CAT exam basically consists of three sections and those are-

1. Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC)
2. Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR)
3. Quantitative Aptitde (QUANT)

The candidate need to score a minimum of 75 percentile in each section to become eligible for admission at IIM Ranchi. The expected qualifying CAT 2023 cutoff for IIM Ranchi MBA 2024 is 93 percentile.

Yes, CAT 2023 dates for admission to IIM Ranchi are out. To apply for the CAT exam, candidates are required to create an account, fill the CAT registration form and pay the exam application fee. The 2023 CAT form have to be submitted by a certain deadline after which no application will be accepted. For 2023 CAT exam, CAT registration will go on between Aug 2 and Sep 20. The exam will be conducted on November 26, 2023. Students are required to appear for the CAT 2023 exam in Computer Based Testing mode at allotted test centres. CAT exam 2023 for IIM Ranchi admission will be held in three slots. These are as follows:

Morning slot: 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM
