IIT Jodhpur is located on the outskirts of Jodhpur city, in its sprawling 852 acres campus. Most of the Faculty Members, Officers, and Students reside on campus, while some Faculty and Staff Members opt to stay in the city in private accommodation. Yes, IIT Jodhpur has visiting faculty along with guest faculty, and adjunct faculty. Currently, there are 7 visiting faculty members. These faculty members have done their PhD from IITs or top international universities.

Students enrolled in the MSc programmes are not provided with any assistantship or scholarship from within the Institute. But, candidates enrolled in the MSc programmes can pursue external funding agencies providing assistantships or scholarships. Some of the scholarships for which candidates can apply are INSPIRE scholarship and Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana. These scholarships are offered by the government.

The office administration of IIT Jodhpur motivates, guides and assists students in applying for any applicable scholarships/financial aid. The office also performs correspondence between the Institute and Government agencies. Some of the scholarships under the institute are as follows:

  • SC scholarship for Top Class students
  • ST scholarship for Top Class students
  • Fee Remission for B.Tech Students as per MoE guidelines
  • UGC-CSIR JRF/SRF funding

The cut-off rank in Round 6 for BTech in Materials Engineering is 15643 which is very close to this range. This was for the general category under the All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one can not afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut-offs keep changing from round to round, better ranks definitely increase your chances of getting admission to IIT Jodhpur - Indian Institute of Technology.

For 2023, cut off was 10318 for General category candidates in All India quota for BTech in Mechanical Engineering in IIT Jodhpur - Indian Institute of Technology. For female candidates in general category under All India quota, 17722 was the closing rank. BTech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For the general category under All India, the opening rank was 12329 and the closing rank was 14476. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even the domicile of the home state. In All India, the opening and closing rank for female candidates was 3613 and 19272. Admission to B.Tech. in Civil and Infrastructure Engineering at IIT Jodhpur - Indian Institute of Technology is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE Advanced. For female candidates in the general category under the All India quota, 16132 was the closing rank. BTech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

The cutoffs are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 17756 and 19173. The last year 2022 cutoff ranks for BTech in Mechanical Engineering at IIT Jodhpur - Indian Institute of Technology other than General category were- 3873 for OBC, 2105 for SC, 1011 for ST, 1508 for EWS. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.
