If you clear the cut off then you are eligible for counseling. But it is not necessary to get seat in IITS. Because they qualify more students. If you get high score from cut off marks then you will get admission in IITS. Hope this helps you. Thank you.

The news is that SC / ST category aggregate is 65% and OBC / general aggregate is 75%, students with
these requirements are eligible for JEE Mains and JEE Advance. Thank you.

IIT which is also leading to its downfall. Reasons for its downfall are as follows:
1. There are new IITs being opened or in other words it is expanding too rapidly which is causing other problems like shortage of faculty and facilities provided by the IITs.
2. The quality of faculty members in the IIT is also decreasing, the professor in IITs were used to be Ph.D. in their own subject but now there are professors which have only completed their B.Tech.
3. The quality of the students is also decreasing in the nation.

If you want to make your career in B.Tech (mechanical engineering) then you should choose Science PCM stream in your 11th and 12th class. PCM means physics, chemistry and mathematics. Study carefully and with attentive attitude.
