At Chandigarh University, industrial design students get many useful facilities. There are design studios where students can sit and create their ideas. The workshops have modern tools that help in making models and prototypes. There is also a Cintiq lab for digital design work. The classrooms are clean, wide, and fitted with projectors. Wi-Fi is available all over campus. The library gives access to books and journals that support design studies. The department has good media labs, editing rooms and the latest software for students. One special point is the professional TV studio with PCR where students learn camera, anchoring, and live production. Radio Punjab 90.0 FM is another facility that helps in real broadcasting experience. Students also join projects like monthly magazine and online channel, which build their portfolio. Field work is encouraged through photo walks, reporting visits and media trips. Many global programs are also linked, so students learn international media culture. In last semester, students do internships with media houses for real exposure. Overall, the infrastructure supports skill learning in every part of media – print, TV, radio and digital. It helps them to understand industry before they step in.
