Admission to IHM Panipat's courses is possible even if a candidate does not appear for NCHMCT JEE. Admission to the BSc programme is mostly determined on the rank and grades obtained in the NCHMCT JEE. To be eligible for courses, candidates must have completed Class 12. Candidates can get direct admission solely through their eligibility and merit in the UG Diploma courses.

Depending on the programme, IHM Panipat's admission procedure is either entrance- or merit-based. Candidates can apply for admission and take the necessary entrance exam, such as NCHMCT JEE, if they meet the eligibility requirements. Candidates can pay the course fee and guarantee their admission if they pass the institute's cutoff.
On the basis of candidates academic merit, candidates are shortlisted for UG Diploma programmes.

No, admission to central and state government Institutes of Hotel Management (IHMs) is strictly based on qualifying the NCHMCT JEE exam. Unless the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) offers a particular pathway or conversion course, a sociology honours graduate with a BE (Bachelor of Engineering) degree is probably not directly eligible for an M.Sc. (Master of Science) programme in Hotel Management or any related field.  A bachelor's degree in a related field, like hospitality and hotel administration, is required for the majority of IHM M.Sc. programs.

IIHM Lucknow offers MSc courses in only one specialisations i.e., Hospitality and Hotel Administartion. To get admission into this course, candidates must complete their bachelor's degree in hotel management stream from a recognised university or AICTE-approved institute. Additionally, for admission, the institute accepts NCHMCT MSc JEE scores + NCHMCT counselling. To get admissions into MSc, candidates must complete the basic eligibility criteria, then appear for the entrance exam, followed by a counselling process.
