To be able to take the B.E./B.Tech, there must be completion of 10+2, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Selection is done by Andhra Pradesh EAPCET counseling process which is undertaken by JNTU Kakinada and students are admitted to seats on the basis of their ranks. No institute level entrance test. The institute is approved and affiliated to AICTE which guarantees uniformity of assessment of the applicants because it is checked at state level. 

Candidates for the B.E./B.Tech programme at Sinhgad Institute of Technology and Science (SITS), Narhe, must complete their 10+2 coursework in mathematics, physics, and chemistry with an aggregate score of at least 45% (40 percent for reserved categories, Maharashtra State only).
