As you have scored 72% in class 12th and 35 percentile in JEE Mains, so you are eligible to take admission in Madhav Institute of Technology (MIT), but getting a seat will be difficult for you with this score. I will suggest you to participate in the counselling process and apply for the other colleges also.
Best of luck.

https://www.shiksha.com/b-tech/resources/jee-mains-college-predictor. Ranks keeps on changing every year and differs from one branch to another and one college to another. If you fulfill the eligibility criteria of the specific institute you may complete further admission formalities. For now, I would suggest you to first contact the institute officials of the shortlisted universities directly for specific eligibility criteria details.

As the cut off Thapar Institute of Technology is high compared to other private colleges so it might be difficult for you to get admission in the civil branch of the engineering in this institute.
Good luck.
