B.Tech candidates are admitted to the PSIT based on the rank they achieved in one of these entrance exams: JEE Main, CUET, and UPTAC.

After appearing for the entrance examination, the students must apply for counseling through the UPTAC website. During counseling, the students will be allocated a seat in their preferred programme at the PSIT based on their rank in the previous entrance exam, category, and seat availability.
