For admission to a BTech/BTech+MTech course of IIIT Bangalore, the aspirants must fulfil the course-specific eligibility requirements. As per the official website, candidates who passed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognised board and studied Mathematics as one of the subjects are eligible to apply. In addition, the aspirants, who are expecting to complete the minimum requirement in Jul month of the admission year are also eligible to apply.

There are a total of 60 seats for the IIIT Bangalore BTech+MTech programmes. The institute has 30 seats each for both the integrated courses. IIIT Bangalore carries out seat allotment for these courses based on the applicants scores in the JEE Main examination. The institute reserves the right to revise the seat count in an academic year. It must be taken into account that the mentioned seat intake is as per the official website/sanctioning body. It is subject to changes and hence, is indicative.

IIIT Bangalore batch placed data is not released. However, as per the official placement report 2024, a total of 578 offers were made during IIIT Bangalore placements 2024. Further, out of total offers 267 were full-time offers and 311 were internship offers.
Apart from this, the average package offered during iMTech CSE and iMTech ECE placements 2024 stood at INR 33.4 LPA and INR 33.2 LPA, respectively. In addition, the average package offered during M.Tech CSE and ECE placements 2024 stood at INR 21.8 LPA and INR 29.2 LPA, respectively.

International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Bangalore admission to various PG, Integrated, Certificate, and Doctoral courses across several departments is entrance-based. Selection to the offered courses is based on popular national entrance exams such as JEE Main, CAT, GATE, etc. For IIIT Bangalore admission, students must qualify for the relevant entrance exam along with the other selection criteria.

Admission to the M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering at IIIT Bangalore is based on GATE scores, generally with no fixed cut-off.
In 2023, offers were made to candidates with scores as low as 480.
The cut-off for 2024 will depend on the applicant pool. Additionally, candidates must have at least 65% in their undergraduate degree in a relevant field.
