You can try Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology. First, preference is given to GATE qualifiers but after that vacant seats are filled by students who haven't appeared GATE as well. Plus, you have experience so that would give you an edge.

Yes, there is some chances you can try but as you know the situation differs every time. So, its not that sure, but what you can do is give a try to it. You may get admission in any of the NIT and once you get Admission into any of the NIT you will be getting 10 to 12k per month.
