To pursue an International Relations course at the UG level, you should have completed class 12, preferably in Humanities subjects. For a course at the PG level, you should have completed a bachelor's degree with specialisations such as political science, sociology, history, cultural anthropology, and related subjects.

No, to be eligible for MPhil course with Political Science specialisation you should have completed MA Political Science. Though International Relations falls under the larger domain of Political Science, we cannot consider MA Political Science and MA International Relations to be same. However, there could be some state universities or private institutes which can offer you admission in MPhil course irrespective of your specialisation in MA.
