IPMAT Pattern

In IPMAT candidates are provided with a rough sheet or a scribble pad for rough work and calculations. This is done to enable candidates to solve formula-based questions and other numerical problems. Candidates are not allowed to carry any page or sheet of paper with them into the examination hall. However, they can use the rough sheet or scribble pad provided to them during the exam to jot down the formulas, solve numerical problems and make rough calculations. It is important to note that the rough sheet or scribble pad is meant for rough work and calculations only, and candidates are not allowed to carry it out of the examination hall. Candidates should use the rough sheet or scribble pad judiciously and avoid wasting time on unnecessary rough work. Candidates are advised to read the instructions carefully before the start of the exam to understand the rules and regulations regarding the use of the rough sheet or scribble pad.

IPM is considered one of India's the toughest exams, with a low success rate. You can expect 20-30 thousand students taking IPMAT to compete for just 150 seats this year. This means only 0.75% of students will clear the exam to study at IIM, indicating competition and the difficulty level of the exam.
