A candidate must have received at least 60% of the possible points on their 12th grade exam or any other qualifying exam from the scientific stream in order to be eligible to pursue integrated B.Tech. in Mechanical engineering at ITM Vocational University. Although the cutoff scores fluctuate from year to year, I advise that a student should have at least 85% overall on the qualifying examination to be guaranteed admission.

For every given semester, a student's SGPA (Semester Performance Index) or CGPA (Cumulative Performance Index) is calculated using the methods below:

The number of points equivalent to the grade awarded in each course for which the student has registered is multiplied by the unit rating.

The amount is multiplied by the overall number of units once all of these items have been added together.

The ratio is either the SPI or CPI, depending on whether the number of units refers to those in that particular semester or to those over the duration of the student's postgraduate career.

ITM Vocational University students who regrettably miss their internal exams fall behind in that course, and the course coordinator requires them to retake the exam in order to graduate the course.  In some instances, the weightage of the missed internal exams can be shifted to different assessments, consisting of assignments or future exams. This ensures that the overall evaluation of the pupil's performance is not heavily impacted by a single ignored examination.

Students who don't pass their internal exams at ITM Vocational University fall behind in that course, and the course coordinator may need them to retake the exam in order to pass the course. ITM Vocational University (ITMVU) conducts two internal exams per semester; you have to pass one of them. If you fail the first internal, you have a chance to pass the second internal, and depending on which internal you are getting the highest marks, these internal numbers are added to the external marksheet.

To be able to enrol in any ITMVU courses, a candidate must have obtained at least 45% of the possible points on their 12th grade exam or any other qualifying exam from the relevant stream.

You can receive direct admission into some courses based on your grade-point average, but some programmes, like B.Tech, require a qualifying exam to be taken before admission.
