The Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) is one of the oldest UGC-approved central universities.
It offers admission to an undergraduate degree (B.Sc.) in biotechnology on an entrance exam basis. The eligibility criteria for admission to the B.Sc. in Biotechnology program is that the candidates must have passed the 12th standard or an equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in each science subject, i.e., physics, chemistry, and biology/mathematics.
The admission will be done on the basis of the CUET UG 2022 Exam scores from this academic session. The final selection of candidates is based on their performance in the previous qualifying degree exams, performance in the entrance test, and seat availability.
Since CUET results have been released recently, the latest cut-off is yet to be published on the official website of the university. Previously, students needed to score at least 75% to be admitted to university as only 35 seats were available for this course. This year, according to the latest trends, a safe score is above 50% in the CUET exam.

Admission to BTech 2022-23 programme of Jamia Millia Islamia will be based on the final rank of JEE (Main) 2022 conducted by NTA. To be admitted to BTech, candidates, who have filled online form of JEE Main are required to fill online application form of Jamia Millia Islamia too at www.jmicoe.in or www.jmi.ac.in before the last date, i.e., May 12.
Jamia Millia Islamia offers a four-year BTech programme across five specialisations. The annual seat intake for each BTech specialisation is 70 students per specialisation. Candidates, who meet the eligibility criteria of the respective programmes, can apply for Jamia Millia Islamia University admission. The admission is subject to the applicant's performance in JEE Main.

Eligibility:
A pass in Sr. Sec. School certificate (or Class 12)/ intermediate or its equivalent from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as their chief subjects, with not less than 55% aggregate in PCM
OR diploma holders in Engineering with not less than 55% marks (recognised by AICTE or a state board of technical education) of three to four-year duration can also apply
The age of the candidate should not be less than 17 years on October 1 of the year of admission.
