Yes, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) reserves seats for the Scheduled Caste (SC) category as part of its admission policy.

Like other central universities in India, JMI follows the government rules and reserves a certain percentage of seats for SC candidates to ensure fair representation.

This helps students from the SC community get admission under reserved quotas.

JMI is academically reputable with solid placements and infrastructure. Its B.Tech cutoffs for general candidates are within 16k–35k for top branches like CSE and ECE. Most student accounts suggest Hindu girls can study there comfortably without significant discrimination.

The Jamia Millia Islamia or JMI official admission page should be admission. jmi.ac.in, to download your Class 11th JMI entrance exam admit card, you need to find a corresponding section or link with the name of Admit Card Download or Applicant Login. You shall proceed then to login into the portal with the attached credentials which are mostly your application number or mobile number or email ID and the password. After logging in, you are expected to have a direct download link to get your admit card. It is advisable to make a series of printouts, and check all the information on the admit card.

Here is a easy reason for the way to take admission in Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI):

First, check the eligibility for your preferred direction (like minimal marks and subjects in twelfth).

Visit the legitimate JMI website and fill out the utility form on line.

For most publications, admission is carried out via CUET. For B.Tech, JEE Mains is needed.

Some publications have JMI's personal front examination (like BA, LLB, and so on.).

Appear for the doorway examination or submit your CUET/JEE rankings.

If selected, upload documents and attend the counselling procedure to verify admission.

Yes — Jamia Millia Islamia has formally introduced the Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) program, but it is set to start in the 2025–26 academic year and is yet to commence classes.

JMI's 2025–26 prospectus, released in early March 2025, officially included the 4-year Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) among 14 new programs being launched

No, generally, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) does not offer direct admission to its undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programs without an entrance exam. Admissions are primarily based on the university's own entrance tests or, in some cases, national-level exams like CUET, JEE Main, or NEET.
