GNIHM JET is an All India Entrance Exam conducted by GNIHM Kolkata. It consists of 60 Marks Multiple Choice Questions with no negative Marking. Questions from General Knowledge, General Intelligence, and General English are the main subjects of this examination. Apart from this, there shall be five descriptive type questions based on English, Aptitude, General Knowledge & Current Affairs topics. The marks allotted for Written test are 35 marks.

As per the official notification date of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) the syllabus consists of topics such as Art & craft of Film & TV, Allied Arts, Literature, General Awareness, Environmental Awareness, General Knowledge related to Art & Culture and Media etc. Candidates preparing for the FTII JET exam need to start their preparation in advance and cover the these topics before the exam is scheduled.

On clearing the Joint Entrance Test (JET), students can get admission into Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) as well as the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute of India (SRFTI). These two premiere institutes are the conducting body of FTII JET as well. Candidates who qualify in this exam will be eligibile to take up film making related courses in either of the two institutes.

Yes, qualifying JET is not necessary for all the programmes provided by the university. For courses like PhD, JET is not necessary but for courses like JET BTech, and others, JET is important. To qualify the JET exam, candidates must study according to the JET Exam pattern, fill out the JET application form timely, and study the JET 2026 syllabus wisely. Without JET admission will not be possible in the flagship courses provided by the university.

JET admit card will not release for the online proctored exam as the exam is to be taken from the respective residences of the candidates. However, if the exam is held from centres allocated at various venues, the registered candidates will be issued JET admit card a few weeks before the exam is held.

In the JET MBA exam, candidates have to answer MCQ types questions asked from Reading Comprehension, Data Analysis, Mathematical Skills, Intelligence & Critical Reasoning, and Indian & Global Environment. There will be no negative marking and all question will be compulsory to answer. 120 MCQs will be asked and the total marks of the exam will be 120.

JET counselling after the result is announced for each phase of the exam in online mode. After the result is declared, SCR / Merit counselling sessions are held for selected candidates. The students who attend the SCR / counselling sessions and are allotted seats are then sent a shortlisted mail. The students who are selected have to pay the seat-blocking fee to confirm their provisional admission.
