To become a news reporter you should pursue BJMC (Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Comminution). Also, you may join any institute owned by a news channel to get a diploma in news reporting.

Am glad you want to pursue journalism as a career. Do you have what it takes to be a great journalist?
1. The passion, the ability to make and keep the right contacts.
2. Curiosity. Persistence. Toughness.
3. The ability to grasp the big truths with the humility to let them go again when the facts don't fit, don't hesitate.

Wow, that's really great to know you that you are following your dream.
You can further do MBA or PGDM from institutes of mass communication or try forwarding your CV to other big news channels. But before approaching them you need to sharpen your skills. So, it will be better to join a B-school which would help you to enhance your skills.
All the best.

I would suggest you to go for BBA in hotel travel and tourism after completing your 12th. There are many institutes offering course in this field like Jamia Millia Islamia, SKYLINE Business School, JIMS - Jagannath Institute of Management Sciences, UTM Shillong etc. All are good but UTM is what I would like to recommend you as it is a very good university offering this program and Shillong itself is a tourist destination you can learn a lot here. University is quite renowned for this program so if you can make out to this, then it would really be very good for your career.
