K J Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce BCom admission is subject to the fulfilment of the course-specific eligibility criteria specified by the college. As per the eligibility criteria, candidates must have passed Class 12 from a recognised board. The college has not specified any specific subject requirement to be eligible for admission to BCom. Hence, having studied Mathematics in Class 12 is not compulsory for BCom admission at K J Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce.

Students belonging to the General category must target to secure a cutoff percentage of 83 and above to improve their chances of getting a seat at K. J. Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce for the BCom programme. Candidates must note that the cutoff percentage varies for different courses, specialisations, categories, and quotas. For Bachelor of Arts (B.A), the minimum cutoff percentage required for admission was 80 during the Round 1 admission for the General AI quota.

K. J. Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce first merit list 2025 has been released for admission to multiple courses at the UG level. For admission to the stream of commerce, the required cutoff percentage for the general AI category students was 83. In 2024, the cutoff for the same course was 87.17, while in 2023, the first round cutoff percentage stood at 87.2.
