The registration fee for University’s department/ centres is Rs 420 (for SC/ ST - Rs 100). Candidates seeking admission to affiliated colleges have to pay a registration fee of Rs 420, SC/ ST candidates have to pay Rs 250 for UG courses and Rs 100 for PG courses.

A total of 16 specialisations are offered under Kannur University MSc: Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Clinical & Counseling Psychology, Wood Science & Technology (Industry Linked), Environmental Science, Biotechnology, MicroBiology, Computational Biology, Physics (Advanced Materials), Chemistry (Material Science), Nano Science and Nano Technology, Geography, Molecular Biology, Applied Zoology and Plant Science with specialisation in Ethnobotany. 

For admission to colleges affiliated to the University, candidates have to visit the respective college website and apply for the selected course within stipulated time.

The total seats offered in MBA programmes are 165. The detailed seat intake is as follows:

•  Centre for Management Studies (cost sharing) at Mangattuparamba: 35 seats
• ICM Parassinikadavu: 45 seats
• Dr. Janaki Ammal Campus: 45 seats 
• Dr. PK Rajan Memorial Campus (cost sharing): 40 seats

The entire admission process is held online only. Candidates have to first register themselves on the admission portal of the University. 

The University conducts its own entrance exam for all the PG level courses except MBA. For Kannur University admission to MBA, candidates must hold a valid KMAT/ CMAT/ CAT score.

Yes, Kannur University offers hostel facilities for its students. The university has several hostels for both male and female students, with a total capacity of 360 students. The number of students residing in the hostels may vary depending on the year and the course. 

Hostel is not compulsory at Kannur University. Hostel is compulsory for B.C.A course as the basic eligibility criteria states that the candidate must have done their 10+2 in any stream (arts, science, and commerce) with English. The university has a total hostel capacity of 360, and only 60 students reside in the hostels. The university also has other facilities like campus, library, labs, transportation, cafeteria, and auditorium.
