No, you can't join Kaziranga University (KU) directly
 
 Admission is based on merit in the last qualifying exam. For some courses, such as B.Tech and MBA, admission is based on state or national level entrance exams. 
 
 For example, for B.Tech admission, the Kaziranga University cut off 2023 is the JEE Main qualifying cutoff. For MBA admission, the Kaziranga University MBA cutoff 2023 is the CAT qualifying cutoff.

Yes, Kaziranga University (KU) accepts MAT scores for admission to its MBA program. Other exams accepted for MBA admission include: CAT, CMAT, KUEST, XAT. 
 
To apply for the MBA program, students must: 
 
  • Have a minimum of 45% aggregate in any undergraduate degree
  • Have valid scores in one of the exams listed above
  • Appear for an interview
For the B.Tech program, students must have: 
 
  • JEE Main/Assam CEE/KUEST scores
  • Merit in the qualifying degree

AEC any day.

1. AEC admits students on the basis of CEE examination which has a selection ratio of 2% (420/22000 * 100%). On the other hand I am not sure about the way KU admits students. Definitely it’ll be easier to get into KU.

2. Here comes the fees. tuition fees per semester in AEC is << 10,000 rupees. On the other hand you pay 50–60k rupees (or more I am not sure) if you study in KU.

3. AEC has completed its golden jubilee. But KU is a new institution.

4. You’ll get more opportunities of development in Guwahati.

5. AEC has got reasonable placements, some PSUs also visit there. Not much idea on KU placements.

The total fees for the B.Tech programme at Kaziranga University is Rs 4,40,000. The eligibility criteria for the B.Tech programme is 10+2 with 45% marks from a recognised board.

Some of the fees structure of the Kaziranga University are as follows,

  1. The B.Tech programme in CSE, ECE, EEE, MEC, CIVIL, IT, Pharmacy, Microbiology, Biotechnology has a tuition fee of Rs. 55,000 per semester for national students and $720 per semester for international students.
  2. For MBA it costs around 2,50,000.
  3. For B.Tech (Laterals) - 1,00,000.
  4. For BBA- 60,000.

MAT is one of the accepted entrance exams for MBA admission at Kaziranga University - KU.

However, it is not the only option. You can also apply with CAT, XAT, CMAT or KUEST scores. The minimum eligibility criteria for MBA at KU is a bachelor’s degree of at least 3 years duration with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST category).

Kaziranga University - KU accepts the following entrance exam scores for admission to various courses:

For B.Tech, the candidates must have qualified in JEE Main or any state entrance exam such as Assam CEE or KUEST

For MBA, the candidates must have a valid score in CAT2, MAT3, CMAT3, XAT3, or KUEST
