Entry into B.E/B.Tech courses offered by the Kongu Engineering College (KEC) requires the student to undergo the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counseling system which is done based on twelve standard examination. This centralized scheme is being administered by the Directorate of Technical Education in Tamil Nadu which is followed for engineering admissions in the state. Also, it may be said that entry to the undergraduate courses in engineering offered by KEC without TNEA is virtually impossible. For admission at KEC, students are encouraged to use TNEA as the channel to apply for a chance to be considered.
