Amrita School of Engineering, Amritapur offers various specialisation in BTech courses. To identify which is the best specialisation candidates must choose the perfect one based on their interests, career goals, and industry trends. Every year, SCTIMST Trivandrum accepts MD admissions in two sessions: the January session and the July session. MD aspirants are required to appear for the INI-CET exam conducted by AIIMS, New Delhi. The application process for the January session of INI-CET usually takes place between September and October of the preceeding year. Candidates willing to take admission in the July session can apply between March and April. Candidates are advised to check the official exam website for exact admission schedule.

Amrita School of Engineering B.Tech offers 15 specialisations in different disciplines. The highest number of seats are allocated to BTech in Computer Science and Engineering by ASE Amritapuri. The institute does not provide the lowest number of seats to any specialisation, because Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Engineering in Mechanical Engineering and the other two specialisations have the same number of seats i.e., 60. 

As per the prospectus (2025) available on the official SCTIMST Trivandrum website, MD students get a stipend of INR 61,300 per month. The institute's rules regarding HRA, NPA, DA & DA on TA are applicable on the given stipend. It must be noted that the mentioned amount is sourced from official website of the institute/sanctioning body. It is still subject to change and hence, is indicative.

MD graduates of SCTIMST Trivandrum have promising career prospects in both private as well as the government sector. The institute offers MD in Transfusion Medicine. After completing their course, MD degree holders can serve as Medical Practitioners, Consultants, Researchers, and Educators, contributing significantly to healthcare and medical advancements. They can also work in hospital blood banks, managing blood product inventory, performing compatibility testing, and advising clinicians on appropriate blood component selection.

SCTIMST Trivandrum has not released the course-specific placement data for MD. However, the institute's NIRF Report 2024 contains the median salary package offered to PG (3-year) courses, such as MD, DM, and MCh. The eligible candidates can access the online AE application form on the official website. AEEE phase 1 exam is generally held in February. The registered candidates can book AEEE phase-1 exam date and time as per preferences using the slot booking facility. After slot booking, candidates will be issued the AEEE admit card, mandatory to appear for the exam.
