To calculate your KIITEE Law 2026 score, use this formula:

Correct answers * 3 points

Wrong answers * (–1 point)

Unattempted questions = 0 points

Maximum marks: 120 questions * 3 = 360
Negative marking: 1 mark deducted per incorrect response
Example: If you answer 90 questions correctly, 20 incorrectly, and leave 10 blank:

+270 (90*3)

–20 (20*1)

Total = 250 out of 360

The KIITEE marking scheme follows a system that rewards accuracy and penalizes incorrect answers:

  • Marks per correct answer: 4 marks are awarded for each question you answer correctly.
  • Negative marking: There is negative marking, so you will be deducted 1 mark for every question you answer incorrectly. This means strategically avoiding a question you are unsure about can be beneficial.
  • Marks for unattempted questions: No marks are awarded or deducted for questions you leave blank. There's no penalty for not attempting a question.
