To get admission in National Law University Kochi LLM  programme candidates must begin with applying for the Common Law Admission Test exam. The CLAT exams has multiple stages, the online registration on the official website of NLU. CLAT 2025 admit card,  attending the CLAT 2025 Exam, result declaration, counselling, and CLAT merit lists. Yes, admission dates are out for the LLM course at National Law University, Kochi. The admission dates are inclusive of CLAT exam 2025. CLAT 2025 counselling has already started. The registration  began on May 17, 2025 at 4 PM, and cosed on May 21, 2025. If you're eligible, you had to sign up on the official Consortium site (consortiumofnlus.ac.in) and pay the counselling fee – INR 30,000 for General and INR 20,000 if you're from SC/ST/OBC category. The first list of seat allotment was published on May 26. This whole counselling thing is necessary if you want to get a seat in one of the NLUs for UG or PG law courses.

Yes, admission is open for LLM at National Law University Kochi for the academic year 2025. Admissions to the five year LLM Degree Programme (Choice Based Credit & Semester) are made through the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). CLAT 2025 registration began on July 15, 2024. The application process for CLAT Exam 2025 was in online mode only. Candidates could fill the application for CLAT 2025 on or before October 22, 2024. To register for CLAT 2025, candidates needed a valid email ID and phone number.

For admission in llm course at National Law University Kochi candidates must have a valid eligibility criteria. Candidates can find below the eligibility criteria for LLM for 2025:

  • Passed the five year Integrated  BA LLB (Hons.) Degree of the National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS) or an examination recognised as equivalent thereto with a minimum of 50 % aggregate, not less than 45% in the case of SC/ST (declared eligible for reservation in the State of Kerala) candidates.

Yes, The National University of Advanced Legal Studies, Kochi does offers LLM programme in a full-time mode lasting for one years. Candidates who has completed twelve years education are eligible to apply. Further, candidates mus also appear for the CLAT exam and the counseling process to get shortlited for the LLM final admission. National Law University, Kochi LLM programme is approved by the Bar Council of India  (BCI). Further, the NIRF 2024 has ranked NLU second in the Law category.

The course fees for a one-year LLM at NLU Kochi are around INR 1.3 lakh for the academic year 2025. Candidates are required to pay the course fee to finalise their admission. The LLM course fee includes multiple other fee components, including tuition, a one-time fee, library fee, and more. Further, candidates must also pay the CLAT exam fee to appear for the exam.

No, candidate cannot apply for BA LLB course without CLAT exam. CLAT exam is required for admission to BA LLB at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University (RMLNLU) Lucknow. To apply for the BA LLB course for 2025, you must have successfully qualified for CLAT 2025. The cutoff marks for CLAT 2025 will be announced by the Consortium of National Law Universities during seat allotment. The cutoffs will be the last rank/minimum marks required for admission to a given university

The seat intake for the BA LLB (Hons) programme at National Law University, Kochi is 136. The university only offers seats based on  availability of seats and the merit lists. Further, NLU follows the reservation policy while allotting the seats among the students. Further, candidates must also have a valid score in the CLAT 2025 exam.

National Law University Kochi follows the seat reservation policy as sanctioned by the government of India. The university offers a total of 136 seats for its students. However, the seats are unevenly reserved for students belonging to a special category. Among them, there are Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Categories. NLU offers 8 % for its SC students and 2% for its ST students.
