You can do it from Amity, Kolkata. According to me, for distance course, IGNOU is the best. For admission in IGNOU, you have to appear for OpenMAT. It's an entrance exam.

You can definitely get a decent job in Kolkata if you have the required skills. Electronics and instrumentation engineering do provide a lot of scope in both IT and non-IT sector.
