Both the mentioned open universities can be compared based on their course fees, degree value, students reviews, curriculum, etc. In fee comparison, NSOU BA (H) course is cheaper with tuition fees of INR 9,900, while BA (H) at Odisha State Open University is INR 11,700. There is not a huge fee difference. Apart from this, NSOU is rated 4.1 out of 5 and OSOU is rated 3.2 out of 5 by the verified student reviews on Shiksha.

IISER Kolkata cutoff 2024 was based on IISER Entrance exam. The cutoff was released for admission to BS specialisations. Among the General AI category candidates, the last round closing ranks for all the BE specialistions were 1801

To get admission in NINS Kolkata, students need to fulfil the admission criteria. Newtown Institute of Nursing Science offers entrance-based admission to BSc. Further, merit-based admission to GNM. To be eligible for admission candidates, must fulfill the eligibility criteria to get admission. For instance, UG candidates must have completed their Class 12 and PG applicants must have a UG degree. Additionaly, candidates must apply and appear for JENPAS UG / NEET entrance exam accepted by the college for admission to BSc.

Admission to BTech courses at Aliah University is based on candidates achieved scores in JEE Mains/ AUAT/ WBJEE. As per the admission guidelines of the university's admission officials, direct admission to the BTech programme is not available. Candidates must qualify any of the entrance exams to get admission to the undergraduate engineering course. Candidates have to register themselves online on the official website of Aliah University to fill out the AUAT application forms. Moreover, candidates who have valid scores in WBJEE can get enroll to Aliah University BTech course through the counselling process of WBJEE.

Heritage Institute of Technology (HIT), Kolkata, and Roorkee Institute of Technology (RIT), Roorkee, are both good with regard to their B.Tech CSE programs. HIT provides a the highest package of INR 16 LPA and an average of INR 6 LPA with companies such as Google and Amazon. RIT has a the highest package of  INR56 LPA and an average of INR 7–8 LPA, with 82.75% placement. HIT is ranked #1 in West Bengal among private engineering colleges.
