KV Institute of Management and Information Studies (KVIMIS) Coimbatore provides full-time and part-time Ph.D. in Management programs under Anna University affiliation. Admission requires a master's degree with 55% marks for SC/ST/OBC and 50% marks for physically challenged candidates. A candidate is chosen on the basis of performance at an entrance examination and interview. UGC-NET (also JRF), UGC-CSIR NET (also JRF), SLET, or teacher fellowship holder candidates are exempted from the written test. Application charges for general category candidates are INR 800 and for Tamil Nadu SC/ST candidates are INR 400.

KVIMIS (KV Institute of Management and Information Studies), Coimbatore has got a good reputation among the management aspires in this region, but it cannot be ranked on top among the top B Schools in Coimbatore. In fact, most competitions reveal that PSG Institute of Management, GRG School of Management Studies and even Amrita School of Business are even better endowed with infrastructures, records in placements as well as reputation.

The amount needed for MBA in Operations Management at KVIMIS (KV Institute of Management and Information Studies), Coimbatore, varies with the entrance tests such as CAT, MAT, TANCET or etc. As a rule, candidates should have no less than 50-60 percent in these examinations to be qualified.
In case of TANCET the cutoff marks ranges from 40-45 for general category students but 5-10 marks indoor for reserved category students. 1.Marketing and Finance branches of MBA at KVIMIS, Coimbatore have the highest number of placements.
