A lawyer can serve in several roles. Here are some examples, but in practice most lawyers do more than one of these, sometimes even simultaneously:
1. A Lawyer is an Advocate
Here, by advocate, I mean somebody who tries to advance their clients interests in some way, typically involving (at least to some extent) persuasion. The classic example is in court, especially in something like closing arguments: a lawyer advocates for their client by persuading the judge or jury that their client deserves to win their case.

Dear Student, For legal aptitude you've three things. You're provided with principle/s and then there are facts. Then you've the options from which you need to choose. The first thing to keep in mind is that the principle is the ultimate. Don't ever try to apply the general knowledge you have about the law while solving your questions. If the principle says theft is not an offence then for the 0.30 seconds you take to solve the question you must abide by that. Dear Student, The UG-CLAT 2020 would focus on evaluating the comprehension and reasoning skills and abilities of candidates. Overall, it is designed to be a test of aptitude and skills that are necessary for a legal education rather than prior knowledge, though prior knowledge occasionally may be useful to respond to questions in the Current Affairs section. The UG-CLAT 2020 shall be a 2-hour test, with 150 multiple-choice questions carrying 1 mark each. There shall be negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer. These questions would be divided across the following 5 subjects with corresponding weightage.
1. English Language : 20%
2. Current Affairs, including General Knowledge : 25%
3. Legal Reasoning : 25%
4. Logical Reasoning : 20%
5. Quantitative Techniques : 10%
So from above 50% of weight age are given to current affairs GK and Legal reasoning. So both are the important sections for scoring point of view.
