Yes, Chanakya National Law University Patna was established in 2006 by the Government of Bihar (Bihar Act 24 of 2006) to act as a public university focused on the field of legal education. The university also has its ex officio Chancellor as the Chief Justice of the Patna High Court and is backed by the state and national governments.

Yes, you can find one highly affordable private law college in Patna, and the rest are around INR 2 to 3 Lakh for the tuition fee. You must ideally look at the programme type though, as the same college can offer different courses with varying fees.  Generally, it's the LLB courses that affordable in Patna's law colleges. Yes, you can surely go for Law in Patna without necessarily going for any entrance exam as most of the colleges accept students on merit basis:

Hi, it can be observed that pursuing Law in Pune can be quite affordable, as most of the colleges have an average tuition fee of less than INR 2 lakh.

"The B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) programme at CNLU, Patna, has an annual tuition fee of Rs.1,04,500, but for FN/NRI/NRI-sponsored candidates, it's Rs.2,72,500. The total five-year programme cost is Rs.5.75 lakh, inclusive of Infrastructure Development Fee (Rs.6,000 per year), Development charges (Rs.3,000 per year), Student Welfare Fund (Rs.3,000 per year), and Examination Fee (Rs.5,000 per year). To be eligible, you need a minimum of 45% marks in your graduate studies, and admission is based on an entrance exam.

Hey,

Chanakya National Law University (CNLU) in Patna is considered a top law college. 

 It offers a five-year integrated BBA LLB (Hons.) degree program. The programme combines the study of law and business administration. The objective is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of legal and business concepts, with an emphasis on Indian knowledge systems (IKS). 

Amity University Patna offers a five-year full-time integrated BBA LLB (Hons.) course. Candidates can apply for the course after Class 12.

Chanakya National Law University (CNLU) in Patna has 120 seats for the B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) program. 

 The programme is full-time and lasts five years. 

CNLU also has 104 seats for the B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) program, plus 16 seats for NRIs. 

The university's acceptance rate is very low, with only 2–3% of applicants accepted for the CLAT and 0.5% for the AILET. CLAT is considered one of the most difficult entrance exams in India.

The last-round cutoff for the General All India category for BA LLB (Hons) at Chanakya National Law University (CNLU) in Patna was 1541. The overall cutoff for CLAT was 2906–4173 rank.

To be eligible for admission to the B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) programme at Chanakya National Law University (CNLU) in Patna, you must: 

Pass your 10+2 or equivalent exam with at least 45%

Pass the CLAT exam

Getting into CNLU depends on your performance in the CLAT exam and the online counseling that follows.
