ICFAI University Dehradun and School of Law, UPES have different fee structures, making it difficult to directly compare the two institutions based on their expenses. However, here are the tuition fees for some of the programs offered at each institution:
ICFAI University Dehradun:
B.Tech: INR 5,60,000
MBA: INR 5,67,000
LLM: INR 90,000

School of Law, UPES:

DSNLU was established in 2008. This college offers 6 full time courses in the field of law. The DSNLU is a government owned college. All factors such as placement, infrastructure, campus,   and other facilities are good and average here and the median package offered is 6.30 lakhs.There is a lack of good placement in DSNLU as compared to GITAM school of law 

GITAM school of law is a private institute which was established in the year 2012. The campus and infrastructure is quiet good, placements are a boom here  the median package offered is of 3.20 Lacs and the highest package offered is 46.50 lakhs

When comparing just the tuition costs, NLSIU is noticeably more expensive than TNDALU. The cheaper hostel costs at TNDALU, however, somewhat make up for the disparity. Living costs are much more in Bangalore than they are in Chennai. Considering all of these variables, NLSIU's overall tuition for undergraduate programmes is probably more expensive than TNDALU's, however specific scholarship circumstances may differ.

For postgraduate programmes, the difference in tuition fees between NLSIU and TNDALU is less, while the costs for housing are the same. Living costs are considerably greater in Bangalore than they are in Chennai, though. As

While TNDALU is not included in the majority of top law school rankings, it often ranks in the top three law schools in India. Graduates at NLSIU have access to more prestigious and well-paying job possibilities since the university draws a greater selection of elite legal firms and companies for campus placements. Yes, you can get admission to UPES School of Law for BA LLB (Hons.) with 60% in Class 12th. The eligibility criteria for the BA LLB (Hons.) programme at UPES School of Law is a minimum of 50% marks in Higher & Senior Secondary (10th & 12th).

Candidates with a CLAT AIR ranking up to 15000 or an L-SAT India percentile of 60 percentile or above will be exempted from appearing in ULSAT (UPES Law Studies Aptitude Test) .

Therefore, if you meet the eligibility criteria, you can apply for admission to the BA LLB (Hons.) programme at UPES School of Law.

THE subject ranking improves the university ranking from last year. According to the Times Higher Education subject ranking, UBC ranked #41 in 2025 while in 2024 the university was ranked at #37 in the world.

Yes, CLAT is accepted for BA LLB at UPES School of Law. Candidates with a minimum of 50% marks in Higher & Senior Secondary (10th & 12th) and a CLATAIR ranking up to 15000 or L-SAT India Percentile of 60 percentile or above are eligible for admission to the BA LLB (Hons) programme at UPES School of Law.

After the entrance exam, candidates are further evaluated through a personal interview (PI) and group discussion (GD) as part of the admission process.

Candidates need to apply for the programme by meeting the eligibility criteria and completing the necessary application process
