The quality of food in the hostel mess of LIET is also *mixed to positive*. Its hygiene and consistency are praised by the students and rated as above average. Menu is plenty (North/South Indian) but taste is subject to tasting, some find it a mere casual and others averagely good. On the whole, it satisfies the general hostel food standards with the focus on the hygiene and frequent and decent food.

There are two broad criteria in selecting B.Tech in LIET. In 70 percent of the seats (Convener Quota), admission is through *AP EAMCET rank* and 10+2 marks (min. 45% PCM) and state counselling. The rest 30 percent (Management quota) need at least *50 percent in 10+2 (PCM)* and can apply directly into the institute. Through *AP ECET*, a holder of Diploma may be admitted in the second year. It is mandatory to be constantly checked with official college guidelines and Andhra Pradesh EAMCET/ECET guidelines, as they provide current guidelines.
