The admission process for first-year junior college (FYJC) varies depending on the state or city you are in. However, here are the general steps involved in the FYJC admission process:
Registration: Students have to first register themselves on the official website of the respective education board. This is usually done after the declaration of the class 10 board exam results. Choice filling: After registration, students have to fill in their choices of colleges and courses. They can select multiple colleges and courses based on their preferences. Merit list: Once the application process is complete, the board will release a merit list based on the student's score in class 10 exams. The merit list will also indicate the cutoffs for each college and course. Allocation of seats: Based on the merit list, the board will allocate seats to students in their preferred college and course. Students have to confirm their admission by paying the required fees. Reporting to college: After the allocation of seats, students have to report to the college and complete the admission process by submitting the required documents and paying the remaining fees. Waitlist: If a student is not allocated a seat in the first round of allocation, they can wait for the subsequent rounds of allocation or opt for the colleges with vacant seats. It is important to keep track of the admission dates and deadlines to ensure a smooth admission process. BLIS Admission 2023-24: 14 March 2023 was the last date to submit the application form for the IGNOU Blis Admission 2023 at the official website. With the help of the IGNOU official web portal applicants can submit the form for the IGNOU Blis course. The university has started fresh online admission for UG, PG Certificate and Diploma level programme for both ODL and Online programmes at the official website. So, Candidates who want to apply for the IGNOU Blis course need to first register themself, and then the application form filling process shall start. IGNOU BLIS Library Course admission will be made based on the merit list. The librarian course fee in the IGNOU is Rs. 8,100/-. MLIS full form is Master of Library and Information Science. This course enables you to get in-depth insights of the IT Science and library management skills. The course duration is usually a year but you can complete this course within a maximum time span of 3 years. Few colleges do offer this course for 2 years like University of Calcutta. As a Science student, you may not have taken courses that are directly related to the courses in a B.A. Programme, but you can still calculate your overall grade percentage using the grades and credit hours for the courses you have taken. To calculate your grade percentage for a particular course, you can use the following formula:
Grade percentage = (Grade earned / Total possible grade) x 100%
For example, if you earned a grade of B in a 3-credit course with a total possible grade of 100%, your grade percentage would be:
Grade percentage = (80 / 100) x 100% = 80%
Once you have calculated the grade percentage for each course, you can calculate your overall grade percentage by taking the weighted average of your course grades, using the credit hours for each course as the weights. For example, if you earned a B in a 3-credit course and an A in a 4-credit course, your overall grade percentage would be:
Overall grade percentage = (3 x 80) + (4 x 90) / (3 + 4) = 85.71%

If you are interested in studying Veterinary Science and belong to the SC category, you may be eligible to apply for admission to the Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry BVSC & AH) programme through the reserved category. To be eligible for admission, you will need to meet the minimum eligibility criteria set by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) and the Andhra Pradesh Veterinary, Animal & Fishery Sciences University (APVAFSU).
