LPU NEST Counselling

Seat allotment during the LPU NEST counselling effectively takes place based on your merit (exam) rank, as well as the preferences you fill to course/specialisations while you log in to the portal for admissions after your results are out. After you log in to the counselling portal after the results go out, you need to honestly fill your choices of course/specialization. LPU will then look for which rank you are in the merit list, check availabilities, and allocate seats accordingly based on your previously chosen course/specialization seats and rank. The seat allotment process of counseling purely works on merit, so the students who scored a higher rank will mostly get their preferred course/specialization allocation and so forth. Once a seat is allotted in the first instance, you are required to make a nominal payment in terms of an advance payment in order to secure your seat for admission in the next steps, since the seat allotment process can iterate through several rounds. Once you have secured a seat through the payment process, you will be required to upload your documents whilst you are in the process of 'confirming' your place through the admission processes. In my opinion, the whole counselling process is entirely transparent, strictly based on merit and your own choices, so it is far fairer treatment for all students. From my experience as a student here, I have felt the process is the most smooth as possible, and the process does take careful steps to allow you to have the best chance to have your choices heard in the counselling process, unlike some universities where the process can be extremely confusing. The system does motivate students to obtain the courses which they would like based on what they scored.
