Better to go for MBA as it will open a number of opportunities not only in economics but also in the field of finance, marketing, operations, HR. There are numerous opportunities in these fields. You will get ample amount of opportunities to work in your field of interest. You can test yourself with fields like investment banking, relationship manager, risk analyst, brand manager, strategy manager, product research analyst, consultant and many more. So, in my view from a career and job prospective MBA is a better option.

Sorry, it would not be possible to complete the 2-year programme in one sitting. There are hardly any colleges which are having such provision.

Hi Mohit, you can look for top ranking universities abroad like London School of Economics, University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, University of Pennsylvania, University of California Los Angeles, etc. There is no placement as such abroad as it happens only in India. But if you are with a top ranking university, you will have access to global giants. If you are an outstanding student you can look for universities like Harvard and Stanford. Ultimately getting a job will depend on your academic performance and your personal skills.

For JNU, you have to cover a wider area of economics such as International Economics, Macro, Micro, Maths, Stats, Public Finance, etc. Sometimes they also ask logic and comprehension on economic case. Maths is majorly +2 based so revise your RD Sharma book and be ready to practice from past year paper.
Refer to the economics books of 11th and 12th. Also, other books you can refer are:-
1. Hal Varian, Intermediate Macroeconomics,7e
2. Rubinfeld and Robert Pindyck, Microeconomics
3. RGD Allen, Mathematical Analysis for Economics
4. AC Chiang, Fundamental Methods of Mathematical Economics
5. Sydsaeter and Hammond, Mathematics for Economic Ana
