For admission in MA in human development studies you must be a graduate from B.A./B.Sc. (Hons.) in social science from a recognized college/university.

The minimum eligibility for this course is a Bachelor's degree with 50% aggregate score. However, there are some institutes that may require the candidates to have an Honors undergraduate degree in Psychology or Psychology as a subject in Graduation for becoming eligible for this course.

Th candidate should have scored at least 40% marks in Part II with Psychology as an optional at B.A./BMR, M.Ed./ M.A.(Education)/ M.Sc.(Home Science)/ Diploma in Child Psychology or Industrial Psychology.
