This completely depends on you, though there are ample amount of job opportunities after M.Arch, but if you go for higher studies you are definitely adding and expanding your knowledge and scope. It is always good and helpful, if you have more knowledge and higher degrees. NIT depends completely on you and your circumstances, if you want to pursue higher studies or start working. If you have enough time and money to go for higher studies, I'll suggest you to go for higher studies, rest is your choice. Candidates also opt for teaching profession after the post-graduation in architecture. The salary scale for lecturer is very high. If you are asking about the worthiness, then I would say 'yes', it is worthy. But, make sure about your future plans and strategy. The reason why I am saying that, is because the scope of both these course leads in same direction. In B.Tech Civil Engineering, you will learn about the Mathematics behind construction of infrastructure. The material strength, geography material mechanics and etc. Whereas, in M.Arch your study will revolves around designing and planning execution of the infrastructural projects. You will learn about the industrial, commercial and government organizational structures and their execution. So, from my opinion, it is very good thinking, if you are going for M.Arch after B.Tech Civil Engineering. This combination will give you very high job designation like; Business Development Manager, Project Manager, Production Manager, Senior Technical Advisory, Chief Technical Officer etc. This combination is good, if you are dedicated enough about your career.

Dear Subasree, if you are looking for Government quota admissions, you can certainly wait for TANCET. However many students prefer SSN in specific and do not wait until TANCET. They are likely to appear for any of the all India admission tests as mentioned by Ms. Srikrupa and seek admission during the period December 2017-April 2018. We do have several rounds of GD-PI during these months as soon as the test results are announced for each of the tests. By April 2018, 75-80% of management quota seats get filled based on all India admission tests. The balance will be filled using TANCET 2018 scores. If you keep SSN as a specific target, we would advise you to appear for February MAT 2018 and give a try. If you do not get a call for GD-PI, you can update the same application with your TANCET score. This process is open till you get a call for GD-PI.
Kindly note that the fee structure in SSN is same for GQ and MQ, hence our MQ seats get filled on a priority basis with highly merit oriented ones.
