National Institute of Academy Application Process 2027

NIA Pune application process is conducted in online mode. Candidates have to pay INR 1,500. Check below the steps to apply for admission:

• Register with a valid email id & password
• Login with the credentials.
• Fill the application form.
• Upload the documents and pay the application fees.
• Submit the form.

Documents required at the time of application

• Scanned copy of the applicant's recent Passport-size photograph
• Entrance Scorecard
• Class 10 and Class 12 marksheet

Selection Process

Applicant should have completed a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% marks. Students who are in the final year of their undergraduate programme can also apply, provided that they furnish their examination results by June 30, 2027. Candidate should have appeared for CAT 2026 / XAT 2027 / CMAT 2027 and scored the requisite cut off percentiles as specied in the Qualifying Criteria of NIA.

Students applying under the reservation category shall get 5 marks relaxation from the cutoffsmentioned above. Performance in Group Discussion & Personal Interview including knowledge of English & weightage for work experience is required for final selection.

Age Criteria for admission is 28 years upper age limit for General / EWS / OBC-NC candidates, and 30 years for SC/ST/PWD candidates as on 1 July 2027.

Admission Confirmation

The institute also releases a merit list based on the composite score of the students for admission. Shortlisted aspirants need to come for document verification. Candidates also need to pay the National Institute of Academy fees to confirm their seats at the institute.

National Insurance Academy Pune has a state-of-the-art infrastructure with multiple facilities available for students. The college is spread across 32 acres of land. National Insurance Academy infrastructure is comprised of a big conference hall, library, and provides various other facilities to students.

There are 10 air-conditioned lecture halls equipped with state-of the-art facilities. In addition, there are 8 syndicate rooms to facilitate group discussions, case studies, presentations and deliberations. Separate reading rooms are also available for the use of the students.

Convention Centre: There is also a best-in-class auditorium with a seating capacity of 220 with excellent audiovisual system.

NIA Library: It is one of the few libraries in India having the choicest collection of books in life Insurance, non-life insurance and management areas. The reading room of this library is equipped with almost all national and international journals in Insurance, Actuarial Science, Pensions and related areas including journals for general awareness and entertainment. A variety of research publications add further value to this already rich knowledge bank.

Computer Facilities: NIA has a Windows based LAN, connected to state-ofthe-art terminals spread all over the establishment. The Academy has IT park classroom for IT training. Wi-Fi facility is available in the campus.

Insurance Labs: The academy fosters a unique concept known as Insurance Labs. There are motor lab, marine lab and health lab for the students to get practical knowledge on related general insurance subjects.

Hostel: The student’s hostel "Sarvapalli" has fully furnished spacious rooms. The hostels are separate for male and female students. It has 24 hours uninterrupted power and water supply. Round the clock security is provided in the hostel and in the rest of the campus. There is also the Internet facility with Wi-Fi connectivity for the students in the rooms.

• There is a clinic where a doctor visits regularly and is also available on call. In addition, students have the benet of mediclaim and personal accident cover up to a specied amount under a group insurance policy during the duration of the programme.
• The multipurpose sporting complex has facilities for badminton, table tennis, billiards, state-of-the-art gymnasium, etc. There is a swimming pool in the sporting complex. There is also an open ground for playing cricket, football and basketball.
• There is a separate Yoga and Meditation Centres in the campus.
• There is a 1.5 kms jogging track encircling the campus. The GIC Pathway close to sporting complex is a water-fed pathway with gravel for acupressure therapy.
  A branch of Bank of Maharashtra and a Post Office are located inside the campus near the main gate of the campus for banking (Forex services is also available) and postal needs, including ATM facility.
